For the app, this includes usage data such as lessons completed, progress tracking, and time spent in the app, as well as basic device information like device type and operating system to ensure compatibility. We also process audio recordings using automatic speech recognition (ASR) provided by a third-party model to evaluate your Quran recitation and provide feedback. At present, this audio processing runs on our online servers, though we plan to move to local device processing in the future. For the website, when you make a donation, we may collect information needed to process it, such as your name, email address, and donation amount. Payment processing is handled by a third-party provider, and we do not store complete payment card details.
How We Use Your Data: We use the information we collect to improve your learning experience, personalize your training, track your progress, improve and optimize our services, analyze app performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and process and acknowledge donations. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. Our app contains no advertisements, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising or marketing.
Data Security and Third-Party Services: We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. All data is hosted on EU-based platforms and processed in compliance with EU data protection standards, including GDPR requirements. We use third-party services only where necessary, including the Quran.com API for access to Quran content and payment processors for donation handling. Please review their privacy policies for information about how they process your data.
How Long We Retain Your Data: Audio recordings processed through our ASR system are automatically deleted within 7 days. Donation records, including name, email, and donation amount, are retained for accounting and tax purposes as required by law. We do not store complete payment card information. Usage data, including lessons, progress, and time spent, is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of this data at any time.
Your Rights: If you have an account on this site, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except for data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Children’s Privacy: Our app is currently designed for adult users. If we expand it for children in the future, we will add the necessary safeguards and update this policy accordingly.
