Islamic History Game

In this game, Nureen travels back through pivotal moments in Islamic history, beginning in Mecca just before Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received revelation. By conversing with characters living in this world, children witness firsthand the struggles, hopes, and triumphs of that era—and experience how the Quranic ayas were revealed in direct response to real events and human questions.

All humans are depicted as lanterns with faces: believers glow warmly while disbelievers appear gray with broken glass. This design honors Islamic tradition while creating a powerful visual metaphor—when characters embrace faith, their lanterns transform, revealing the inner light they receive from faith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) appears as pure radiant light, following the tradition in children’s Islamic literature that conveys his spiritual significance without depiction.

The game expands far beyond the Prophet’s lifetime, tracing the flourishing of Islamic civilization through its golden ages. Children engage with authentic historical moments through dialogue, observation, and thoughtfully designed minigames that deepen both engagement and understanding. Rather than treating history as backdrop, the game connects the Quranic memorization journey from the Quran Trainer app to its lived context—showing children why these words mattered then, and why they matter now.

This is an ambitious project requiring a dedicated development team, but it offers something rare: a bridge between Quranic learning and Islamic heritage that helps children understand their tradition as living history rather than abstract text.
