Treasurer

Purpose

Ensure financial health, compliance, and sustainable funding to support Nureen’s long-term growth and mission delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting (may delegate to external accountant)
• Present quarterly and annual financial statements to the board
• Develop fundraising strategy and lead grant and donor cultivation efforts
• Ensure compliance with Dutch tax and non-profit regulations
• Monitor budget performance against actuals and flag financial risks

Qualifications

• Experience with non-profit or small business accounting
• Proven fundraising experience with grants, individual donors, and corporate sponsorships
• Understanding of Dutch stichting financial regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

6–8 hours per month
